OPTICA British and Irish Conference on Optics and Photonics (BICOP 2025)

The OPTICA British and Irish Conference on Optics and Photonics (BICOP 2025) is returning this year to the beautiful IET Savoy Place, London this Christmas from 16th to 18th December 2025.

BICOP 2025 will again feature technology leaders from across industry and academia presenting the latest disruptive advances in optics, photonics, quantum and space technologies. Space in particular is emerging as a UK and Ireland strength and we will be hearing from space agencies from across the world. Other key topics include Communication, Photonic Integrated Circuits, Nuclear Fusion, Quantum Computing, Graphene and Defence, Biophotonics, and more.

Call for papers

In addition to an outstanding line-up of plenary, keynote and invited talks, a limited number of the best contributed papers will be accepted for oral or poster presentation and published in Optica conference proceedings. BICOP is an excellent place to present your latest work to, and network with, leaders in optics, photonics and quantum technologies from industry and academia. The scope is very broad and covers any new work in the field of photonics, optics and quantum technologies.

2-page Summary: All contributed authors are required to submit a final summary of their work for publication in the Technical Digest, via the Optica Publishing Group platform.
