Photonics in the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic offers a full optical manufacturing chain – from precision machining and polishing of lenses, mirrors, filters and high-performance optical coatings, to the development of sophisticated laser systems, optomechanics, metrology instruments, and cutting-edge microscopy solutions.
Dolní Břežany is home to world-leading laser centers such as ELI Beamlines and HiLASE, representing global excellence in high-power lasers, photonics research, and emerging optical quantum technologies.
Members of the Czech Optical Cluster span a wide spectrum of applications, including advanced microscopy, quantum photonics, defence and space optics, and innovative lighting technologies. Together, they create a strong and dynamic environment for industrial production, research collaboration, and technological innovation.

Registration is now open! EU SMEs based outside Czech Republic can also apply for a travel grant to support their expenses.
Up to 20 selected SMEs will receive a €610 flat-rate travel grant, paid upon attendance of the full programme and after submission of the feedback.
Of course, we welcome all interested participants, whether eligible or not for travel funding.
