Sommerfest in Breslau

Summary

Join us for the Polish-German celebration of Sommerfest in Wrocław! Home to one of the largest German consulates in the world, Wrocław has hosted this summer event for the Silesian economy for the past 20 years.
This year, we aim to strengthen the ties between Berlin and Wrocław, and we’re inviting key players from the Berlin startup ecosystem to join us—not only for the celebration, but also for a short business conference held before the main event. Just 350 km from Berlin, Wrocław is a fascinating tech hub and Poland’s fourth-largest city. It’s one of the country’s key economic engines and boasts a rich cultural landscape. In recent years, Poland has become one of Berlin’s most important trading partners—climbing from 11th to 4th place in Berlin’s export rankings between 2004 (EU accession) and 2023.
Significant public and private investments in R&D, infrastructure, and production have driven innovation and led to the rise of many successful companies, particularly in the tech sector. Their products and solutions are now highly competitive on the international stage. The Berlin delegation will be led by Mr. Florian Hauer, State Secretary for Federal and European Affairs and International Affairs.

14:00 - 16:00 Polish-German business mixer. The agenda includes presentations by start-ups and a panel discussion on cooperation between our ecosystems.

18:00 Reception in the consulate garden.

The event is free to attend. You'll need to arrange your own travel to Wroclaw, but a same-day round trip is entirely doable thanks to the direct highway connection.
