One of the fields of application where the fast physical optics modeling and design software VirtualLab Fusion shines at its brightest is lightguide devices for augmented and mixed reality (AR & MR). Its “connecting field solvers” technology allows us to combine a rigorous field solver for the grating regions of the lightguide with other, less resource-heavy but also accurate methods for other parts of the system.
