The Junior Manager - Online Marketing (JMO) will be dealing with all online and digital marketing tools and its deployment in the European market. With the empowerment to lead projects, the JMO will support developing strategies and tactics to strengthen Edmund Optics’ recognition in the market and to grow sales by owning marketing campaigns from its development through execution. While working closely with Sales & Marketing in Europe and the US headquarters, spoken English is a must, a second European language of high interest. Also activities to support adjacent Marketing tools are part of the role. The JMO will be joining a team aiming for strong growth, so there will be room for taking initiative and ownership to influence and sculpt the actual role and department.

Your activity:

  • Creation and execution of strategies driving online traffic to the website and campaigns strengthening the brand awareness and product recognition of the company
  • Developing, management and execution of digital marketing campaigns involving all different online channels (Emailing, Email-Automation, Social Media, Online Shop, etc.)
  • Success control through tracking statistics such as conversion rate and adopting strategies and campaigns accordingly 
  • Creation and care of an optimized website reflecting SEO needs in multiple languages and utilizing all available techniques including also paid search and SEM and appropriate content 
  • Cooperation and coordination of external partners supporting optimizing EO’s online presence 
  • Supportive activities such as coordination of translations, key word development, creation of campaign content, website maintenance, etc. to realize an optimized online presence 
  • Evaluation of customer research, market conditions, competitor data 
  • Review of new technologies and regional trends to keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

Your profile:

  • Degree in business, communications or a related field with strong academic records 
  • Understanding and interest in the field of engineering or science (physics, optics) 
  • Appr. 5 years of experience in the Online Marketing field managing Email Marketing, Social Media, SEO or Affiliate programs  
  • Passion to interact with people in a tech environment and feel comfortable to lead projects and advise partners across offices, countries, languages and continents 
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practices and Up-todate with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing & measurement 
  • Fluent in German and English, additional languages (e.g. French, Spanish) are a plus 
  • Positive working attitude, high self-motivation, excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills 
  • PC Skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, Adobe Photoshop, HTML
